J.A.T.H.E. - Episode 03: Monkeys beat Ass Download

In this episode: The gang reviews Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Note: After recording this episode, I immediately attempted to fact check it.  Two mistakes: the mutants from Beneath are referred to as being blue colored, when they are in fact a chalky white or very light blue. Also, in the new movie they are not watching the original planet of the apes. It is another Heston movie. I can’t figure out what it is though. If somebody knows, they should email me.

UPDATE: Our biggest fan and loyal listener, Bobbi McClelland, wrote us about my inquiry as to what Heston film is playing in a scene of the movie: “The clip in the ape house where there is a Heston film playing is a clip from ‘The Agony and the Ecstasy’ where he plays the role of ‘Michelangelo’.  Ya know the guy who painted Adam and God on the ceiling of the big ass church.  And it is actually his 5th “appearance” in the Apes movies … And the only reason I know what movie that is, is cause when I was a kid my mom made me watch movies like that.  So I watched a lot of Heston films.  Ben-hur, the ten commandments….and some others he did.  Anyway catch you kids around.  And don’t forget when you’re ready for me to do a ‘Doctor Who’, let me know.  I’m ready!!!
